Game window goes dark when HDR is enabled (Windowed mode)

Investigating

What you'll see   The game window darkens after Playto starts or stops capture. The darkening persists even after you close Playto — it only resets when the game is restarted.

Why   A Windows screen-capture API interaction with HDR Windowed mode. The issue does not appear in Borderless Fullscreen.

Workaround   Switch the game display setting to Borderless Fullscreen. This resolves the issue completely.

Capture region cannot be drawn on a secondary monitor

Investigating

What you'll see   When the game is running on a second monitor, the capture region selection tool may not let you draw a region on that display — either the selector doesn't appear, or the region snaps back to the primary monitor.

Workaround   Run the game on your primary monitor until multi-monitor support ships.

Japanese audio playback can mispronounce kanji

Investigating

What you'll see   When you press the audio button on a Japanese sentence, the text-to-speech engine reads kanji with incorrect or inconsistent readings. In long sentences, this can result in playback that does not sound like natural Japanese.

Why   Japanese kanji-to-reading conversion is hard — the same character can have multiple valid readings depending on context, and the current TTS pipeline does not yet use a full Japanese morphological analyzer for pronunciation.

Workaround   For now, audio playback is most reliable on single words saved to your dictionary rather than full sentences. Pronunciation for learning practice is best verified against a native dictionary entry.
