Log

Log is Playto's home tab. Every captured screen lands here as a paired entry — original text on top, translation below — in the order it happened. You can search, re-translate, edit, listen, and save what you want to study later.

Live feed

While capture is running, new entries stream in real time. Each entry shows:

  • Original — the text Playto read from the screen.
  • Translation — the model's rendering in your target language.
  • Meta — timestamp, profile, language pair, and a small quality indicator.

Click any entry to open a detail panel with deeper analysis (see below). The selection persists while new entries continue to stream above it.

Search & filter

The search bar at the top of Log matches both original and translation text. Filter chips let you narrow further by:

  • Profile — limit to entries from a specific game pack.
  • Date range — today, last 7 days, custom range.
  • Language pair — useful when switching between target languages mid-session.
  • Mastery — show only entries whose words are still in your study pool.

Detail panel

Clicking an entry opens a side panel with three sub-views:

  • Analysis — a brief LLM-written explanation of what the line means, including tone or context where relevant.
  • Difficult Words — a curated list of harder vocabulary from the line, each with definition, reading (for CJK), and a one-click Save to your Word Book.
  • Grammar — on-demand grammar breakdown for the original sentence.

The detail panel also surfaces cross-links: if the entry was saved as a sentence or belongs to an album scene, you can jump there with one click.

Edit, re-translate, listen

Per-entry actions you'll reach for often:

  • Edit — fix an OCR mistake in the original or polish the translation. Edits stick in the database; future lookups use the corrected text.
  • Re-translate — re-run the line through your current model. Useful when you've swapped engines or changed a glossary entry.
  • Listen — TTS playback for the original (helpful for reading aloud or pronunciation reference).
  • Save — promote the line to Words or save the full sentence so it shows up in Sentences.

Bulk actions & export

From the menu in the top-right you can:

  • Re-translate selected — multi-select entries and re-run them in batch.
  • Export — dump the visible (filtered) log to TSV or CSV for use elsewhere.
  • Clear — wipe the log. Sentences and Album entries are stored separately and aren't affected.
